Crown Reclaimed: A Nappily Ever After Hair Care Workshop

Event Description:

BSU will host "Crown Reclaimed: A Nappily Ever After Workshop" as part of our Afro Day celebration. This event focuses on afro-textured hair appreciation and education. We'll be showing selected clips from the film Nappily Ever After and using them to spark guided discussions around hair, identity, beauty standards, and self-expression. The workshop will also include a short educational presentation on maintaining afro-textured hair (types, care routines, product use, etc.). We’ll close with two reflection activities: “Letter to My Crown” and a Crown Affirmation Circle. Raffles, snacks, and a social media collage will be part of the experience as well.
